Training

Cup Training
Cup training may begin early, and the baby can be on cup feedings by the ninth month of life. Start offering a cup at seven months or when the child is sitting alone. Most American mothers do not give a bottle after one year of age.

Toilet Training
Actual toilet training is usually not accomplished before the 24th month of life. If the attempt to toilet train the infant is started too early in life, the parents will usually find many complications developing. It is best to let nature take its course instead of forcing the issue. When a child is ready, he will train in two weeks. If children are "trained" very early, then mother knows how to interpret every grunt and is a trained "catcher", but the infant still isn't trained.
